Kansas Program

Bi State Driving School provides a comprehensive state-certified program that comprises 2/4 hour classroom sessions and 3/2-hour driving lessons. The program allows students to commence without a permit, and upon passing the program's permit test, a temporary permit is issued. It is mandatory for driving schools in Kansas to conduct a permit test as part of the program. During the final lesson, students undergo a driving test, and upon successfully passing both portions of the program, they receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate, along with personal information, can be presented to the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles to obtain the age-appropriate license.

Missouri Program

To enroll in the Missouri Full Program, students must meet certain requirements. These include being at least 16 years old and possessing a valid permit. Additionally, students are required to take their own written and driving test at the Missouri Department of Motor Vehicles. It is also mandatory for students to attend both the classroom and driving portions of the program at our Overland Park office. During the program, students will receive the same 2/4-hour classroom sessions and 3/2 hour driving lessons, but will need to take their testing in Missouri.

What will I need to bring to class

Thank you for providing me with the necessary information. At our program, students are required to bring one of the following documents to class: Birth Certificate, Visa, Passport, I-94 or Green card. If you need additional information about the required documents, contact our office at (913 648-3452. We also recommend that students who wear contacts or glasses bring their eyewear to class. Payment methods accepted include cash, debit/credit card (no checks). Permits are not required to join the, but if you currently have a valid or expired permit, we will need a copy of the permit or the K-number to avoid complications at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Individual lessons require full payment, and a valid permit/license to operate any motor vehicle.

The full Program requires a permit and payment in full before driving is set up.

Scheduling Driving Portion

Students needing to schedule the driving portions of the program.

Instructors have fixed schedules Monday through Friday - during these blocked times. 8 to 10 A.M., 10:30 to 12:30 ,

1 to 3 P.M., 3:30 to 5;30 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M.

Saturday's will depend on drivers availability.

This is to allow our instructors to get from student to student on time.

Please call and ask for scheduling if we have not contacted you before 2 weeks, students must make sure at the time they register for class that they give us a valid email, contact number with a voice mail set up. We are not responsible for students that did not leave us the correct information. The scheduler will enter you drive times in the automated system - our system will send the student an email to the email you used to register. The system will show you and our staff, when the email arrived and opened by the student. This eliminates issues and helps the student avoid a no call no show fee of $175.00.

If you need to cancel a lesson/lessons you must contact the instructor and office, 24-hours prior to the lesson to avoid an extra fee, this allows another student to drive.

Please be courteous to our instructor and staff, no foul language or hollering will be tolerated and the student may be dropped from the program. We do our best to make sure you are scheduled as quick as possible. We cannot control the weather, sickness or a vehicle issue - we will contact you and get you rescheduled as quick as possible.
